Around the house...

 There are a few common things you can see around the Woogie house each day...

Riding fire trucks is huge part of inside entertainment (although it should be an outside activity)...

 Trying on Daddy's shoes...

And other accessories such as hats...

And sleeping with 'blue' (see the blue thing between Luke's arms and legs). Noah and Luke each have a 'blue.' Noah's is a dog head with a blanket and Luke's is an elephant. They both cherish them for nap and night time. Luke has recently become attached in the last few weeks. Before Noah was born I was determined to get him attached to a small object since I've heard other kids loving huge blankets or other large stuffed animals they insist on taking places. I've also bought two of them so I could wash one while the other can be in use. I knew that could be a problem one day. And so far, I still have both of Noah's and Luke's still! One less problem to solve. It is also nice when one is taken another place in the house and all I have to do is reach in the closet to get the extra without prolonging nap time 30 minutes while we search the house...I know some of you know what I am talking about! My intended desire has so far worked for two children! Woohoo!

 Last year we didn't get much rain but this year we discovered we had a peach tree in our back yard. We picked some peaches yesterday (the ones that were still good)! Now that we know what the tree is...we may have to water it next year. It had a lot of peaches but most of them needed to be picked last week while John and I were at church camp with the youth from our church. So, these are the ones that hadn't fallen off the tree or gotten eaten. Yumm!!! Yea for free fruit!

Rain, Mud, and Boys

  We had a lot of rain!!! I even called John to come home so that we could keep our house from flooding. Our whole yard and roof drains to once place....right by our front door. We've had a little come in the house before but was able to keep it from making it to the carpet. Needless to say, we see gutters and a french drain in our future. John spent a long time using our shop vac to suck out the water, swept the water to drain off our driveway, and collected water in a trash can that came off the roof. For a while I wondered if he would be able to keep up with the down pour but he did! He even removed the water so quickly that we didn't even need to skip prayer meeting at the church building. Thankfully, the rain let up and he didn't have to continue being 'the man of the house' protecting his domain. (Today, he continued to protect it by killing a snake who ate the baby birds in our back yard and knocking down the wasps nest just outside our door. 

 

Of course, mud just goes along with getting a lot of rain so they boys really enjoyed getting all dirty. I loved watching them squish their toes in the mud, sit and dig in the mud, and Luke even ate some.

Brothers

 It is sweet to share in those special moments where our boys truly enjoying being together b/c it is not always that way. :) This morning I told Noah I was going to take Luke and change his diaper and Noah said he had to come to before he would get jealous. Ha!

They also enjoyed some swimming time together this morning. I love seeing them play together. Right now they are playing in Luke's crib with all their stuffed animals laughing and giggling as I type this.

 Noah tries to play legos with Luke but they end up doing their own towers. Luke plays with the big legos (mego blocks) and Noah likes to built tall towers. He was pretty clever using his chair to put the upper legos on.

Luke had a tumble outside as he was reaching for shoes off our back door ledge. His poor nose...still quite the cutie though! Love those blue eyes like his Daddy!

Luke is 15 Months!

Luke is 15 months! He is growing and learning so much every day. He is so full of joy and love for life just like his older brother. He loves giving hugs and kisses. He most often has a smile on his face and absolutely LOVES dancing. ANY time he hears music he will sway side to side...so proud of his dancing! He is such a climber and loves to run everywhere. Every time his shirt is off he pats his belly and wiggles around as he feels his skin.

He absolutely loves doing his puzzles and reading books; just like Noah always has. We read at least 6 books a day or more. It is a joy to see him learn new words daily. He can say...ball bopper, bottle, daddy, momma, wow, ah-oh, dog, shoes, apple, ball, owl, out, more, button, ah-choo, eye, I see, choo choo, bye bye, amen, duck, elmo, puzzle (puble). He also loves saying his animal sounds when we read books. He can say sounds of a snake, lion (tiger and all those that are similar), bear, sheep, elephant (his favorite!!), monkey, and owl. His favorite song is Old McDondald and says his part so well...E-I-E-I-O. So cute! I've got to get it on video!

His favorite snack is a cracker and loves doing things with his big brother. I found them sitting on this chair together. So sweet!

 We still struggle with sleeping at night but it is getting better. He has 2-4 bad nights a week now but will sleep through the night otherwise. I am thankful to get a few nights in there! And when I mean bad...it is crying up to 4 hours (yes 4!) or up two or three times a night. Hopefully those days are slowing since he only has his two-year molars left to come in. A few days ago he tried making up for two nights of hardly sleeping and fell asleep on the floor around noon. Sweet boy!

I am absolutely in love with this boy! He is such a joy and a gift from God. I am so blessed to be his Momma! I just love his hugs and love for me! I am reminded of God's love for me as He loves me even more deeply than I can comprehend. I pray daily that Luke comes to know the Lord as his ultimate love and Savior. I look forward to seeing what God will do through him one day!
