Shhh!! Don't tell...

Shhh! Don't tell! Luke is enjoying Noah's HIGHLY treasured fire truck while Noah is napping.

He sees Noah traveling on it all day and he finally got his hands on it! Lovin' it! I guess we will have to find another vehicle for Luke to call his own.

Standing!!!

Standing...seriously...
I was making his dinner...mashed up turkey...yum! I looked around the corner and Luke was standing. What? He only learned to 'stand up on his knees' two days ago. He isn't even 7 1/2 months yet. Where did my baby go? He was so proud!

Pumpkin Festival

Found this post today and realized I never posted it...

Several Saturday's ago we went to the pumpkin festival. We really enjoyed it! Noah enjoyed a few different activities! We saw Woody...
and Buzz...
He got to bounce in a couple different bounce houses.
And enjoyed a barrel train ride...
We were not sure if Noah would come back but the driver went around the square and did bring our child back. :)
There was a four wheeler who rode up a ramp, flew over many vehicles, and landed on a ramp after doing various things in the air. Noah thought that was pretty neat but hoping he forgets that because he is NEVER allowed on a motorcycle of any sort; especially one that flies through the air!!!

I enjoyed the food most. I had a turkey leg, funnel cake, and Dr. Pepper. I was thankful Noah declined sharing the turkey leg with me (I had to share with him at the fair) but would have shared if someone insisted. I was glad they had funnel cakes too since I hadn't had one in a couple years.

It was a great time to spend with the family. I guess I didn't get any photos of Luke but love all my men!

He is trying...

Luke crawled over to the table yesterday and found him like this...
He sees brother walking around and wants to figure out how to do it! Look at that guilty face! He is growing up so fast...only 7 months!
I caught him again....

4's and...

I do 'school' with Noah and he learns everything so quickly. I think it is because he has a photographic memory like his Daddy. He can visually recognize all his letters, most lower case letters, shapes, colors, and now we are working on numbers. I haven't bought any curriculum nor go along with anything on the internet but find things around the house to use as I teach. Here are some of the things we did with the #4.
He loves school and often asks to 'play school' even over going outside!

The boys typically nap in the afternoon but there are days where they wake up early. So they are entertaining themselves while I cook dinner. They love to be where Mommy is; I love that. If you look closely, you can see we have part of the #4 on the fridge made out of his cherished letters.
Daddy and Noah putting change in the First Choice Pregnancy bottles...
It has been a rare event to buy either of the boys a toy. Noah was blessed with so many toys from his older niece and family members so we've hadn't had to buy any along the years.

I found out about this toy from a friend and thought I would be great to get Luke. It is called Sofie. It is a giraffe made out of 100% natural rubber (from sap of a Hevea tree) and food paint. It was born in Paris in 1961 (and looks the exact same as the first day it was made!) and is great for teething. And since he has been teething since he was 3 months and was having such a rough time getting his 5th and 6th tooth in, I thought it would be a great buy. Luke absolutely loves it! He smiles every time I show it to him and he immediately started chewing in its little parts. Here is Luke's first introduction to his favorite toy!
He is saying, 'Thank you. I love it!' What a cutie! Love him!

Hanging out with Daddy

Daddy and Noah went to hang out for the morning. They went to the football field to play and then the playground. Daddy had to show Noah how to play.

Throwing the ball...Kicking the ball...Running after the ball...Noah absolutely loves the park and has come to love the seesaw...
That is pretty high...
Fun times with Daddy!

Good Morning!

Good morning! We are ready to play!
The weather has been so nice outside lately. We are really enjoying it!
Luke has really taken to the swing! He loves it! It is crazy to see Luke swinging in here now after all the time Noah has spent in this!
Align CenterAs active is Noah is, he still highly enjoys coloring, puzzles, and painting. Here is his newest creation...
Most days Noah and Luke nap at the same time...but there are those un-lucky days...and that is when Luke gets to join me in my time with the Lord. It is becoming increasingly difficult to do my study with him awake. He can army crawl and roll like a champ to get to my books. I took this picture last week and he had gone all the way across the carpet to get to me. I kept having to scoot back. But look at that smile...how can you get upset at him for wanting to study with me?

7 Months Old!

Luke is 7 months old today! I can't believe it! He has such an easy smile! Blesses a Mom's heart to now your child will give you a smile any time you smile at him. Love that about him and hope he never loses that!He has grown so much and is doing so much now. He loves sitting for a while and playing with his toys.I love how his chubby rolls are growing by the day. My favorite roll is the wrist roll. You now they are eating well when you can see that crease in the dark! So sweet and soft!

He is inching to crawl. He often will put a knee or two forward but hasn't gotten it down with his hands moving also. He does army crawl when he really wants something. For a while now I thought he would be off any day...soon and very soon! For now he's a rockin! He is doing better and better eating. He ate well today. Since his 5th and 6th tooth just popped through his gums, he wasn't interested in eating but is doing better now. Those two teeth have been the worst so far. Poor guy! Rough times!
I love you, Luke! You are such a sweat heart! I cannot get enough hugs and kisses from you. Your biggest milestone since the last month has been falling asleep on your own. I am so glad you are able to do that now. It has been better for everyone in the household! You sill highly enjoy pulling my hair and playing with it while you eat, watching anything your brother does, love to be held and prefer my arms over any other, think it is play time any time Daddy holds you since he is always making you giggle, and letting your voice be heard when Noah takes your toy away. I am enjoying you learn and do more every day! I am so blessed to be your Mom!

A Day Out With Thomas

Noah loves Thomas the train and this is the first time he met Thomas. Grammy bought John and Noah tickets for the train. But before they train ride, everyone is welcome to come early and play with everything they had there. They had bounce houses, train tables, putt-putt golf, pictures with Sir Topham Hatt, trains to tour, a gift shop, etc.

Noah loves golf and plays many times a day. We are currently moving to an outside only sport because he has gotten so got at smashing the ball! He received golf clubs a couple years ago for Christmas and has really taken to them in the last few months. We've wanted to take him to a putt-putt course but didn't know how he would do. John said he loved it and understood exactly what to do. I would be OK with him becoming a golfer...Mommy wouldn't have to worry about him getting hurt as much as other sports! Ha! He can do whatever he wants though!
Grammy and Noah walking toward all the fun activities!
Here comes Thomas...
Peep! Peep!
Hangin' out by the tracks! Checking out the train...Wow! Trains are big!During the train ride in their open car, John and Noah discussed how the trains were connected. He is training him to be interested in engineering already! Sitting in the car with Grammy (He has lost interest in taking pictures!).
Overall, I think Noah had a great time. I think he would have had more fun if he wasn't so tired. He hasn't gotten in a bad habit of waking up at all hours of the night, turning his light on, and playing with his toys. That night he has been up a few times and one time it was for an 1 1/2 hours. Hoping he gets over that soon!

Thanks for all the fun Grammy! Can't wait to take him to play putt-putt again! Luke and I had a great time at home too. I had forgotten how easy life was with one child! I got a lot done and had a relaxing morning. What a special time it was for Daddy, Grammy, and Noah as well as Luke and I! We are blessed with two sweet boys!

Woogie Fun

I had to get a picture of my favorite people! They were so cozy all together this morning! Love them!
More fun in his PJs...
Noah trying to play with his brother. He loves pushing this tub around!
Noah is so smart and always amazes me. He can recognize all of his letters! And the last month or so he has been spelling out everything and telling me what it says. Most words spell Daddy or Graco. This time it was Daddy...I told him Daddy started with a 'D' so he placed his 'D' on top and that made it right! So funny! We got these CARS chairs at Walmart for $4 each! So cute! Here is my one picture of our State Fair visit...a cherished cow! Noah loves cows! Forgot my camera but John got one on his phone!
