Potty Training: Day 3

Day 3 went well. I think the timer was a hit! Noah enjoyed having the timer tell him to go instead of me...at first (it was hard to stop playing while Makenna was here because he loves playing with her so much). It made Noah think 'Mommy' wasn't the one making him stop playing to sit on the potty but the timer was 'the mean guy.' It also put the idea in his head that he needed to go. We had a couple pooping mistakes in the morning but otherwise it went well. I started putting his big boy underwear on him after a few successes so that he had to learn how to pull his pants down before he goes. He wasn't too fond of it the first time but then he was OK with it. He is so cute in his underpants! He is such a big boy. My goal is to get this down better today with underwear and clothes so that we can go to play soccer tomorrow. I will take the toliet with me so that I can continue to make him go. My mom had a great idea to take the tent to hid the potty and he can have his own little outhouse!

This picture shows all the necessary things a 2 year old needs while using the restroom...

Playing with Grandpa while waiting out the timer. James from Thomas and Friends on his bottom...so cute!

I am not ready to cut down on his drink yet. I really want him to get as much practice as we can. I think it will be a while until he learns the feeling of needing to go and let me know that he needs to. I will probably just have to make him go every 30 minutes or so until he learns. I foresee cleaning a lot of underwear... :( The potty training is much easier when Luke is sleeping. It is hard to hold Luke or nurse him while trying to get Noah to get to the potty. I would be nice to have Noah potty trained before Luke came along but I don't know if he would have been ready. I wasn't too excited about fighting that battle while I was so big and pregnant though.

Just had to put a picture of Luke in here. He has been such a trooper during this whole thing.
I hope Day 4 goes well!
