4's and...

I do 'school' with Noah and he learns everything so quickly. I think it is because he has a photographic memory like his Daddy. He can visually recognize all his letters, most lower case letters, shapes, colors, and now we are working on numbers. I haven't bought any curriculum nor go along with anything on the internet but find things around the house to use as I teach. Here are some of the things we did with the #4.
He loves school and often asks to 'play school' even over going outside!

The boys typically nap in the afternoon but there are days where they wake up early. So they are entertaining themselves while I cook dinner. They love to be where Mommy is; I love that. If you look closely, you can see we have part of the #4 on the fridge made out of his cherished letters.

It has been a rare event to buy either of the boys a toy. Noah was blessed with so many toys from his older niece and family members so we've hadn't had to buy any along the years.

I found out about this toy from a friend and thought I would be great to get Luke. It is called Sofie. It is a giraffe made out of 100% natural rubber (from sap of a Hevea tree) and food paint. It was born in Paris in 1961 (and looks the exact same as the first day it was made!) and is great for teething. And since he has been teething since he was 3 months and was having such a rough time getting his 5th and 6th tooth in, I thought it would be a great buy. Luke absolutely loves it! He smiles every time I show it to him and he immediately started chewing in its little parts. Here is Luke's first introduction to his favorite toy!
He is saying, 'Thank you. I love it!' What a cutie! Love him!

Glad you liked your Sophie too. They're great -- Sammy's first lower front tooth surfaced the gum line this week and having the teething giraffe around helped for sure. I love your creativity and Noah's fun in playing school. :)
