Trip to CA

John and Luke made a trip to California to visit John's Grandpa B (dad's side). John knew it might be the last time he was able to go so they were excited! And it was Luke's first time on a plane!

Here are a few pictures to capture the event for you! What a special trip it was for John and Luke thanks to Grammy's free air miles!

They left the house at 4:30am on Wednesday morning to head to the OKC airport and when they arrived...
Peeking out at the airplanes and everything going on...
Look at him thinking he owns the place...
Heading down to the plane with his ticket in hand...

The pilot told John that Luke could sit in the pilot's seat for a picture but Luke didn't want to. He got a shot of his head though...I guess we will have to settle for that.
On board entertainment...
He is so cool...and he thought the huge planes were awesome...
John also had free passes to the Admirals Club (that had an enclosed children's room!) so that was a  nice place for them to hang out between flights!

Showing off his cool rolling bag...

They had a great time in CA. They got to visit lots of family on both John's Dad and Mom's side.

John's Aunt and Uncle took Luke to the park a lot while they were there. Luke loves the park and he had so much fun playing with them. They are great with kids and I am sure they spoiled Luke and Luke loved it! Here he is walking to the park pulling his bag...precious big boy!

 Donuts with Grandpa B...
 Taco Bell with Grandpa B...

 Trucks with cousin Nicolas...
Dinner with cousin Mike and Tiffany...

They also got to see Great-Uncle Larry (John's mom's side) and his whole family who also live in Fresno...
Croquet with Kristen and Shannon...
Play area in DFW airport on the way home...
Loving the train at DFW airport...
Great picture riding up the escalator at DFW...
The flights home were so late that pizza was the only option (not that Luke is complaining!)...
Both times Luke fell alseep on the plane was when Daddy was holding his hand...melt my heart!

The whole trip was a special time of reconnecting with our family in California. Wish everyone lived closer! Thanks to everyone involved for a sweet time.
