My new pot...

I got a new, rather large pot for my birthday (April 15th). Thanks Mom and Dad! I really love it! But I am just now using it for the first time...Taco Soup is on the menu! Yes, I know it is summer and over 100 degrees outside. I will probably sweat from the heat of the meal but that doesn't stop me. I will say sorry to our company tonight...hope they don't mind :)I wanted a large pot because I wanted to be able to double and triple my recipes to freeze some. It is nice to be able to cook for many or freeze for later. I am all about freezing...less cooking and more enjoying! Check out the size of that thing...
I had to get a picture of this cute boy too. He decided to watch me lift weights while Noah was sleeping. He has never seen me work out. I've only worked out 15 times or so in the last 5 months. Not very consistent...I know. I would be a little more faithful if I got more sleep but waking up early when I am up at night has yet to appeal to me. One day...
Today I was blessed with continual company...a common thing when you have more than one child where neither are in school, day care, mother's day out, or any kind of babysitting. So Luke got to watch me work out today. It was just one of those days where I just wanted to do something for me. Immediately when I put Noah down for his nap, Luke woke up and then when I put Luke down again Noah was already up playing in his room. Those are not my favorite days because I never get a time to sit down and relax with the Lord. I typically can get 30 minutes to spend with God in their overlapping nap times. I would like to spend time in the Word in the morning but waking up early when I am up at night is not the best idea in this time of life...it probably wouldn't happen. Getting 6 hours normally not in a row doesn't make for an alert Mom in the morning! Sometimes I can read while Luke is playing beside me and Noah napping. I would say prayer time can increases when nursing a child at night but time in the Word decreases. I try to do Scripture memory during the day and that is nice. I've also tried putting Christian music on in the background. I love that! Noah has learned to dance/praise God with me! He loves dancing! I encourage all Moms with young children at home to do what you can when you can...I am sure your heart desperately desires time in the Word as mine does. And when you never have a break as I often do, you have to do what you can when you can. I know I need it even more than ever as I deal with potty training a strong-willed and disobedient two-year-old while holding a teething 5 month old as I am now. I pray the Lord teaches me to be more patient and gracious as I discipline with the love of the Lord and as I say something for the 100th time. It is in these times that I know how ungodly I still am but desire to become a more godly mother for my boys. I pray they remember my godly traits and not those times I reveal that I am a sinner. Thank you Lord for loving me and continuing to work on me each day!

Hanging out...

Noah enjoys getting in Luke's crib and laying with him. They are so sweet!
Luke likes to reach out for Noah. He loves his big brother!
Enjoying each other!
Getting ready for church was a bit crazy this morning. John is at the church by 7am so I fly solo getting ready myself and the two boys. It can be interesting some times. I wanted to get a picture of the matching shirts Nana gave us but since it took 5 times to get Noah to keep his shoes on in the last 10 min before church...a picture didn't happen. Here are the boys in their shirts after nap time...
Noah found my sunglasses while cooking with me and thought he looked good!Pretty cool!Yes, a lot of pictures consist of Noah in his diaper these days...we are potty training again. These problem won't be the last of them...

One of Noah's favorite past times is his cherished fire truck. He rides it alllllllllll day long. Luke really enjoys his walker too!Luke is getting so strong. He was sitting up while the swing was going. He was very interested in the animals on the side of the swing...good ab and back workout!Noah enjoying his lunch! He asks for ham and cheese almost everyday with the except of a peanut butter and honey sandwich at times.Play time with Mommy...putting everyone in their place.Yes, Woody is hanging with the hippo on top...buzz is riding the tractor somewhere.

Diaper play time

Noah seems to enjoy Luke more everyday as he grows and is able to do more. Noah wanted to play with Luke on the bed...a daily occurrence either on our bed or Noah's bed. Today was special because they got to play on our air mattress that we had out.Luke really isn't able to sit up yet...he fell down as soon as the picture was over. I wonder if he will soon? He's never wanted lay down much. He even tried picking his head up as a newborn and wasn't happy until I put him upright.Wrestling time...pinned.1.2.3...It blesses my heart so much to see them giggling and enjoying each other!
Noah trying to make Luke tough...kneeing him in the face and didn't even cry!
He looks up to Noah so much!
Yea, he is wearing the same color diaper...
Copy cats...Time to roll...
Love them!
Noah jumping as Luke fears for his life...as he laughs.Done playing and time to snuggle with our Blues.

So Where Did You Leave it Last?

"So where did you leave it last?" Of course, that is the common question anyone would hear after mentioning they lost something. But after watching a comedian, Tim Hawkins, bring out the silliness of that question John and no longer ask each other where we left it last. I still would like to know the answer...I lost my camera. We've had it for years and I am sure it is just in a bag but haven't taken the time to look too hard. I just keep thinking, "Boy, that sure would be a cute picture of the boys!" Then remember I am not sure where my camera is. Of course, my blog is going to suffer because of my lack of pictures. If I didn't have pictures to add I would probably not have a blog. I've never claimed to be a writer. Engineers are actually known to be horrible at 'English.' I would agree...although my husband is quite good at it. But he is good at everything he does. I am not just getting brownie points for that statement either. He really is good at everything he does. After being together over 9 years, I am still shocked when he doesn't know the answer to one of my questions. It doesn't happen very often but it surprises me still. I guess he is not the walking encyclopedia I think he is at times.

So, back to my subject (and off the fact that I ran on to another subject proven my lack of proper writing)...the camera. Sorry about having any pictures to add. :( I promise my boys had really cute moments last week. I hope to never forget them in my head. Love them!

Today

All these pictures were taken today. It seems like such a long, fun day when I look back on all the boys and I did. Noah and I normally get some play time before Luke wakes up. I think he really likes getting that time together. We started off with some puzzles...
When Luke woke up, Noah had to join Luke on his play mat. They just talked and talked to each other, laughed, and rolled over. It just blesses my heart to see them loving each other.
Another play time on the mat...
And Luke ready to take his bath...Hooray! Hooray for bath time!Of course we had many other events in our day...blocks, coloring, jumping on the trampoline, hide and seek, working on our letters, saying 'bye' and 'I love you' to Daddy as he leaves for work, watching Luke squeal at his airplane mobile, many diaper changes, lots of crying and time outs, Luke and Noah each sitting on Mom's legs singing songs, jumping on the coach, playing with games, playing with trucks, eating lunch and dinner as a family, lots of eating and drink breaks, reading several books, pretend play in all sorts of ways, playing with balls and trains, etc. etc. Life at the Woogies house!

Swimming

Since our pool from last year had a leak in it, Grammy gave us hers. Noah loves it; thanks Grammy. He is finally starting to swim a little more and allowing some water in his face. I think it helped that he swam with others his age at our family reunion. He had a blast then and is really enjoying it now. He even went down the slide into the pool! I am so glad he is loving it now!
Look at that water splashing on him. He had a blast!

Just had to add this picture of my boys. They have their own look but definitely look like brothers! Cuties!

Packing...

We went to Fairview again for July 4th. John's side of the family has a family reunion every year and it is a pretty big deal. We have a blast and look forward to it each year!

So we found ourselves packing again...Noah apparently thought he could travel in Luke's pack n' play. I don't think that would have been legal! I was surprised to see him in it when I walked into Luke's room! He loves hiding. I have yet to have a problem finding him...

We went Friday and came back Saturday night late. But we only came back with Luke. Noah stayed there with Grammy. It was strange only having Luke in the car on the way home. We did some sleep training with Luke while Noah was at 'Grammy camp.' Reading a few books to Luke is part of his night time routine. We started this with Noah when he was 4 months also and it works like a charm! Noah is VERY into his routine and knows when it is time to settle down and go to bed! I am thankful now that Luke also knows how to fall asleep on his own. Yea for Mommy and Daddy time! How sweet is that!
